When I was working as a public librarian, I saw that many patrons lacked an understanding of the benefits of their free Google account. Believing that they only had access to Gmail, they were unaware that they could also access the full suite of tools included in Google Workspace - Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, Meet, Chat, and Drive.
This was the impetus for my creation of Tech Tutors. I felt that training sessions in Google Workspace would be a great benefit to library patrons, as these tools could help them create resumes, apply for jobs, develop a budget, and more. Also, knowing how to use Google Workspace would benefit their job seeking activities, since Google Workspace is used by over 40% of Fortune 500 companies, and more and more businesses are adopting Google Workspace for its productivity and collaboration features.
